Northfield Gymnastics Club strives to provide a competitive opportunity for an array of athletes in our community. We currently offer competition opportunities under National Gymnastics Association (NGA) and Midwest Amatuer Gymnastics Association (MAGA) for the 2021-22 season.

Team Prep Class
Our Team Prep Class runs during Spring Sessions 1 & 2 at NGC. This class is for athletes interested in joining team for the following fall season. This is a GREAT “trial team” class for athletes/families that are not sure if competitive gymnastics is right for them. We start at the beginning, building strength, flexibility, endurance and agility necessary for executing competitive skills.

Cool Shots
NGC’s school-year pre-team. This practice group works on gymnastics shapes, beginning level skills as well as strength and conditioning to prepare for a competitive team. This class is paid monthly and is a school-year commitment for athletes & families. We accept athletes into Cool Shots each fall.

Hot Shots
NGC’s beginning level competitive team. This practice group works on gymnastics shapes, beginning level skills and routines that emphasis each athletes strengths. This group competes NGA levels 1, 2 or Silver.

State Meet

Big Shots
Athletes in this group have completed NGA level 1, 2 & Silver skills. This practice group works on gymnastics shapes, advanced beginner level skills and routines that emphasis each athletes strengths. This group competes NGA levels 3, 4 & Gold.

6 per week

4-6 per Season
State Meet

Top Shots
The first of NGC’s optional level athletes. These athletes begin advanced level gymnastics skills and combinations. Athletes in this group compete on the MAGA Flares team or NGA level 5.

Championship Season Meets

Super Shots
NGC’s intermediate level optionals. Athletes can combine B level gymnastics skills into combinations and series. Athletes in this group compete on the Novas MAGA team or NGA levels 6, 7 or platinum.

9 or 12 per week
Competitions:
6-8 per Season
Championship Season Meets

Elite Shots
NGC’s highest level practice group, athletes in this group work advanced gymnastics combinations and series. Gymnasts in this group compete on the MAGA Wonders team or NGA levels 8, Diamond, 9 or 10.

6-8 per Season
